It was found that stomatal density in the studied wheat genotypes ranged widely: in control plants it ranged from 44.0 to 82.0/square mm and from 31.0 to 63.0/square mm on upper and lower leaflet, respectively. Abstract :

In this paper, the effect of spike size on yield components and grain yielding wheat was observed in four different groups of genotypes: 1) foreing high-yielding genotypes, 2) old NS cultivars (developed at Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Novi Sad, Yugoslavia, and recognized between 1970 and 1989), 3) new NS cultivars (recognized between 1992 and 1996) and 4) most promising NS lines.
