Feeding represents the 80% to obtain a ton of meat. The weaning pig is the key in the swine fattening units. If we supply a high quality food, we will recover the invested capital faster. A feeding program for weaning pigs should define the ingredients to meet the nutritional requirements of the animals and/or to permit a better transition from milk to a dry diet. So we should know how to feed the piglets from birth to weaning taking into account the changes occurring in the digestive system. The different weaning ages bring about necessary feeding readjustments. Is the piglet is feed with a food easy to digest, the feed consumption will increase promoting the appetite up to a 100% during the post weaning period. If we take into account that weaning pigs require two kinds of feeding (wet and dry), we will provide there a feeding mixture containing nutrients in he right proportion, quality and quaintly . When supplying food with the necessary requirements , we obtain the maximum of the physiological functions according to the consumed food. We recommend a proper usage of the saw material: energetic and protein sources, and additives for better results.
