Forty eight gilts YLxH with 31.0 kg LW intered during 120 days a diet of type B molasses and torula yeast. After the mating, the animals were distributed in two treatments according to a completely random design, wich lad diets based on maize or type B molasses and torula yeast as only proteic source. The sows during lactation were fed with a cereals feed and after weaning they back to intake experimental diets in order to complete in the same form a second reproductive cycle. The gilts in the developing ladgain of 598 g/day and a feed conversion of 4.43 kg DM/kg gain. There were no significant differences between treatments for the mean valves of the two reproductive cycle in: 105 days pregnancy gain (kg); 52.9 and 50.0; pregnancy net gain (kg); 34.3 and 32.0; piglets born alive; 9.03 and 9.10; litter weightat born (kg); 13.81 and 13.22; weaning piglets; 7.76 and 7.95; weaning litter weight (kg); 50.22 and 50.95; loose weight in lactation (kg); 23.0 and 22.7; piglets mortality (%), 14.2 and 12.8 and onset oestrus post-weaning (days); 6.9 and 7.1; for the maize and type to molasses treatments respectively. It is possible to use type B molasses as energetic source of the diet in the developing and pregnancy of the sow with good results in the performance during two reproductive cycle.
