Fibre contents of mott grass as affected by stage of growth and nitrogen fertilization  [2001]

The fibre components continued to increase significantly in Mott grass whole plant and its morphological factions with advancing plant age and nitrogen application. Maximum values were observed in stem followed by whole plant and leaf. It was concluded that Mott grass should be cut preferably between 4560 days of age to obtain more nutritious and digestible feed for livestock.
