In the present study, effect of deworming with albendazole on growth rateand milk yield in cow calves and lactating dairy cattle was studied. The percentincrease in body weight in untreated calves was 3.67%, 8.08%,13.23 %, 19.85% and27.57% at day 15, 30, 45, 60, and 75, respectively, whereas it was 6.25%, 14.58%,25%, 37.50% and 51.38% at day 15, 30, 45, 60 and 75 in albendazole treated calves, respectively. The average weight gain in untreated cow calves and albendazoletreated cow calves was 14.48% and 27.54%, respectively. The average milk yield ofuntreated lactating Sahiwal cows and albendazole treated lactating Sahiwal cows atday 0 was 8 litres and 7.50 litre/day, respectively. The percent increase in milkyield in cows of control group was 6.25%, 12.50%, 9.37% and 12.50% at day 7, 21, 28and 35, respectively whereas in cow of albendazole treated group it was 6.66%23.33% 33.33% and 33.33% at day 7, 21, 28 and 35, respectively. From this study itwas concluded that deworming increased the growth rate and milk yield in cows.
