The aim of the experiment was to analyse the effect of some intercrop plant species on the yielding and grain quality of spring barley in four-years's monoculture. Seed dressing and harrowing as well as herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and growth regulators were applied in crop protection. The sowing rate for both forms of barley amounted to 300 grains per one square meter. Cultivation of intercrops in spring barley monoculture increased the grain yield and improved its quality. The largest yields were obtained for husked barley
