The task of modern plant growing is to provide environmentally friendly products by applying methods of presowing preparation of seeds in conditions of contamination of the Orel Oblast territory with long-lived radionuclides – Cesium-137 and Strontium-90. Although with passage of time radiation hazard has changed significantly for the better, nevertheless plants grown on contaminated areas still have a danger of additional public exposure with radionuclids. Our studies have shown a positive effect of pre-sowing treatment of seeds with protective- stimulating compositions such as Ekost 1/3 in ratio – 400 g/t of seeds, Ekost 1/6 in ratio – 500 g/t of seeds, with biologic active preparations – humate «Plodorodie» – 625 ml/t and liquid (peat) potassium humate – 600 ml/t of seeds on decrease of content of radioactive isotope Cesium-137 in the grown products of pea variety Orlus from 4,6 to 5,0 Bq/kg*sec. and of rate of transfer of factors of radionuclids from soil to plants up to 0,09 in comparison to control variant. Spraying of vegetating plants with preparation Ekost 1/6, Humate «Plodorodie», treatment of seeds and plants with liquid (peat) potassium humate reduces content of Cesium-137 in the produced pea grain from 1,7 up to 3,8 Bq/kg*sec.
