Abstract
It was found that E. tenella oocysts possessed glutamate dehydrogenase and also aspartate- and alanine aminotransferrase activities. N-amido propylglycine inhibited the enzymes activities in the parasites oocytes. The authors of the presented paper believe that the enzymes mentioned above are of significant importance for metabolic processes in coccidia and can be target for anticoccidial chemotherapeutical preparations.
