Abstract
This research was carried out to investigate the effects of cuttings taken in different periods (march, july, september) and IBA concentrations (control-0, 1000, 2000, 3000 ve 4000 ppm IBA) on cutting propagation of rosemary (Rosemary officinalis), hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis) and sage (Salvia officinalis). Samples were taken the year of 2010, from Field Crops Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Experimental Area of Agriculture Faculty of Suleyman Demirel University. Different IBA doses were used on cuttings and sown to rooting medium consisting perlite-peat (1:1) mixture. After 45 days were determined to rooting ratio, root number and root length of cuttings. Effects on cutting propagation of rosemary, hyssop and sage of IBA doses and cuttings taken in different periods statistically significant in P≤0.05 level were observed. The highest rooting ratio (85.0, 82.3 ve 81.0 %, respectively), root number (28.8, 21.6 and 10.6 number plants-1, respectively) and root length (7.1, 6.1 and 5.1 cm, respectively) were determined from march period in 4000 ppm IBA doses.
