This study was done for the improvement of the garlic propagating efficiency and reducing seed costs using bulbils and trials on the cultivation methods of bulbils. On the first year's cultivation of bulbil excised from the mother plant, the single clove garlic which was not differentiated into cloves was mostly produced with the exception of differentiated garlic by using larger bulbil as the seed. On the second year's cultivation of the next generation of bulbils, it was elucidated that the single clove be substituted for the common garlic seed as the seed materials for the garlic production, because garlic yield was not only increased but seed costs dramatically cut down as the growing bulbil
