ملخص
Abstract: A dietary study assessed the effects of diets with/without spices chili (red pepper, capsicum annuum) and mustard (Brassica juncea) on resting metabolic rate (RMR) in 12 subjects. The results showed that the spiced meal substantially increased RMR in all subjects. The findings of this study are discussed in terms of diet-induced thermogenesis enhanced by spices.(wz)
