Abstract
Ornamental plants have social and economic importance and grouped as; cut flowers indoor /outdoor plants, wild onions. In our country they are grown wide producing area and having problems with fungal and bacterial diseases. Fungal diseases are grouped in root rot diseases (Fusarium spp., Rhizoctonia spp., Pythium spp., Sclerotonia sclerotiorum, Verticillium spp.) downy mildew diseases (Sphaerotheca pannosa, Oidium spp., Erysiphae cichocearum) rust diseases (Phragmadium mucronatum, Uromyces spp., Puccinia spp.) leaf spot diseases (Alternaria spp., Perenospora spp., Cercospora spp., Septoria spp.) and bacterial diseases are grouped as, bacterial rot and wilt diseases (Erwinia spp., Ralstonia solanacearum) bacterial spot diseases (Pseudomonas cichorii, Burkholderia andropogonis, Xanthomonas campestris), bacterial crown gall (Agrobacterium tumefaciens).
