Differences in the lipid composition of plasma membrane in two near-isogenic lines of wheat (SrHopeRa and SrHopeSa) differing in their resistance to stem rust
2000
Dubert, F.; Skoczowski, A.; Barna, B.; Niemczyk, E.
The composition of fatty acids of phospho- (Pl) and glycolipids (GL) and sterols (ST) of plasma membranes prepared by phase separation from microsomal fractions from leaves of two near-isogenic wheat lines, differing in their resistance to stem rust (the resistant line-SrHopeRa, and the sensitive line SrHopeSa) was investigated. In the Pl fraction palmitic, linoleic and linolenic acids, constituting about 90% of all fatty acids. Smaller amounts of stearic and linoleic acids and traces of palmitooleic acids were also found.
