| Abstract (English) | The BBCH decimal code for the growth stages of cereals is presented. The descriptive text is accompanied by specific definitions and illustrations. Differences between this new code and other widely used cereal scales are explained in detail. The compilation of a specific BBCH code for cereals become necessary following the introduction of the general BBCH code. This new coding system allows the use of identical code numbers to identifty similar phenological growth stages of different plant species, but does not attempt to identify in detail each special feature or growth stage of each crop or weed species. | ||||||||||||
