Current state of production of lentil in the Russian Federation is examined. In 2014 this crop was cultivated in 17 regions of the country on the area 27,4 thous. ha. Basic areas under crops are in Privolzhsky (16,5 thous. ha) and Siberian (9,0 thous. ha) Federal districts.
