  • This work intends to examine the prospects of 'Tuberose - loose flower as well cut flower - in Nadia District of West Bengal. Seventy five (75) flower growers spread over four (4) villages of the districts are selected following SRSWOR method. Cost of cultivations of loose flower and sticks of cut flower are worked out to be Rs. 12551.42 and 12039.29 (Cost A,) respectively. Cost of productions are computed at Rs. 7.07/kg and Rs. 12.67/100 sticks. Out put - input ratios are found to be more than unity indicating their economic feasibility. Loose flower production is noted to be more remunerative to flower growers in comparison to cut flower. (eng)
