If you are already registered,  access AgriMetaMaker directly.

If you want to publish your data in AGRIS and your articles have never been catalogued, AgriMetamaker (AMM) is the solution.

AgriMetaMaker is a tool, based on the Drupal CMS, to generate metadata as easily as possible. It does not require any installation, maintenance or updates. Simply run your browser, access the tool and start creating bibliographic references/records. Just fill in as many fields as necessary to describe your document, save the reference and your bibliographic data will be published in AGRIS.

How? AMM is an OAI-PMH provider, so the AGRIS team may simply harvest your data and publish them in AGRIS.

How to register

To access AMM, please send a request to agris@fao.org, specifying the name and address of  your institution/company and the reason of your request. After a brief evaluation, you will receive an email with instructions on how to proceed with the registration.

How it works

To create a bibliographic reference/record with AMM, please follow these steps.

  1. Login with your UserID and password. In the top right frame, a group of links called AGRIMetaMaker will appear.
  2. Click on the “Data Entry Form” option to start creating your record.

If in the author/journal field, you do not find the author/journal you need, the form allows you to create new entries. Click on the “Create” button and add the reference. Upon saving, the system will take you back to the form.

In order to improve the accessibility and retrievability of your document, make sure you describe the content of your document by selecting the right categories/terms in the following fields:
    AGRIS Subject Categories
    AGROVOC thesaurus

For a detailed description of the fields, consult the AMM tutorial.

  3. Save your reference.

To revise your references, click on the “Edit Data” option, select the item you want to revise, select the “Edit” tab to update your data & save.
