This paper presents the results of studies on the genetic variability of HMW glutenin subunits in wheat cultivars created in Novi Sad (Serbia, Yugoslavia). Abstract :

In this paper, the effect of spike size on yield components and grain yielding wheat was observed in four different groups of genotypes: 1) foreing high-yielding genotypes, 2) old NS cultivars (developed at Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Novi Sad, Yugoslavia, and recognized between 1970 and 1989), 3) new NS cultivars (recognized between 1992 and 1996) and 4) most promising NS lines.
