Studies of anatomy and histology of Siamese fighting fish (Betta splendens) were conducted from 54 nomal fish with average age of 4 months. The average length of male and female fish was 4.88+-0.35 cm. And 4.76+-0.33 cm. With average weight of 2.6+-0.48 g. and 2.44+-0.49 g. respectively. The external appearance of male and female can be easily differentiated by visual observation. Histological study of various organs, such as skin, muscle, heart, liver, kidney, oral, cavity, ovary and vertebrae, were conducted. The results indicated that most tissue and cell character was similar to mammals and other bony fish. The outcome of this investigation may be used as basic data for health management, conservation and future research of Siamese fighting fish.
