Belarus Agricultural Library (BelAL) is the national information centre for agriculture, food and forestry. The Library was created by the decree of the Council of Ministers of Belarus in 1960. Sod-podzolic soils, prevailing on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, are naturally low fertile, therefore application of mineral fertilizers is traditional and appears one of the most essential factors, influencing soil fertility and productivity. The system of fertilizers application is developed not only for compensation of nutritive elements, but also for promotion of potassium and phosphorus accumulation. For this reason residual quantity of fertilizers, fixed in soil, represents important scientific and practical value. The article presents the results of a research of mineral (phosphorous and potassium) fertilizers residues in soil and establishes period of agrochemical degradation of sod-podzolic sandy soil (i. e. a period in course of which soil according to phosphorous and potassium content indexes comes back to initial phase). The research shows that with application of the annual dose of mineral fertilizers N63P40K82 the maximum annual productivity is 60.0 centner fodder units/ha in the experiment for the last 11 years, phosphorus and potash content in soil has been reduced by 13 and 65 mg/kg (annual phosphorus decrease - by 1.2 mg/kg and potash - by 5.9 mg/kg). The duration of aftereffect of phosphorus fertilizers in sod-podzolic loamy soils is 7 years and the duration of aftereffect of potash fertilizers is much lower - 3 years.
