The aim of the work was to determine the significance of chosen systematic effects on traits of milk production in dairy goats and to compare the usefulness of eight variants of statistical models of variance analysis. Data of the milk records for the population of White Shorthaired Goat over 1993-1999 was used for our calculations. Daily milk production was recorded twice a day in month intervals from 20th day of lactation. A total of 29,231 records of daily milk production, 26,444 records of fat percentage and 28,240 records of protein percentage in milk from 2,762 goats kept in 39 flocks (641 test days) were analyzed. Average daily milk production was 2.58 kg with 3.59 % fat and 2.79 % protein content in average. The highest milk production was found in four-years old goats (2.86 kg/day), one year old goats had the lowest milk production (2.29 kg/day). Variability of examined traits was significantly influenced by effects of flock and year or test day, age of goat, litter size and stage of lactation.
