tivation in the irrigated tracts of black cotton soil in India. Among six </span><em><span style="font-family: "Arial,BoldItalic","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Arial,BoldItalic"; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Trichoderma </span></em><span style="font-family: "Arial,Bold","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Arial,Bold"; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">isolates, maximum inhibition was noticed in </span><em><span style="font-family: "Arial,BoldItalic","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Arial,BoldItalic"; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">T. viride </span></em><span style="font-family: "Arial,Bold","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Arial,Bold"; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">(indigenous) followed by </span><em><span style="font-family: "Arial,BoldItalic","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Arial,BoldItalic"; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">T. viride </span></em><span style="font-family: "Arial,Bold","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Arial,Bold"; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">– 16 and </span><em><span style="font-family: "Arial,BoldItalic","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Arial,BoldItalic"; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">T. harzianum </span></em><span style="font-family: "Arial,Bold","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Arial,Bold"; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">– 10. Among four bacterial bio-agents, an indigenous isolate of </span><em><span style="font-family: "Arial,BoldItalic","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Arial,BoldItalic"; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Pseudomonas fluorescens </span></em><span style="font-family: "Arial,Bold","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Arial,Bold"; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">[Pf- I] was most efficient with 74.26% inhibition followed by </span><em><span style="font-family: "Arial,BoldItalic","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Arial,BoldItalic"; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">P. fluorescens</span></em><span style="font-family: "Arial,Bold","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Arial,Bold"; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">-PGPR isolate. The bio-agents when coated on seeds of popular chilli cultivars, </span><em><span style="font-family: "Arial,BoldItalic","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Arial,BoldItalic"; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">T. viride </span></em><span style="font-family: "Arial,Bold","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Arial,Bold"; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">– 16 and </span><em><span style="font-family: "Arial,BoldItalic","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Arial,BoldItalic"; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">T. viride </span></em><span style="font-family: "Arial,Bold","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Arial,Bold"; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">(indigenous) isolates were best in terms of inhibition with out affecting germination of seeds. In case of bacterial bio-agents, the inhibition was above 68.89% on chilli cultivar </span><em><span style="font-family: "Arial,BoldItalic","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Arial,BoldItalic"; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Byadagi Kaddi </span></em><span style="font-family: "Arial,Bold","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Arial,Bold"; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">by Pf-I.
