Index of work intensity by cross-sectional grade, longitudinal grade and working load were investigated for measuring work intensity of moving work intensity of moving work in the forest work. IHR , WLI, and VO2max were used as the index of work intensity. The amount of mean VO2max of the subjects performance was average 3.66l/min. There was no influence of walking direction to work intensity. But, the longitudinal grade have a important effect to work intensity, that is , sub-maximal work intensity was occurred at 25 degree with 50m working. The work intensity were increased in 36.5% and 63.3% when worked with 6.0kg and 8.0kg chain saw, respectively.
