Three industrial preparations of Bacillus thuringiensis viz. Certan at the rate of 0.4, 0.5 and 1.0 ml; B-401 at the rate of 0.6, 0.75 and 1.0 ml and Dipel at the rate of 10, 20 and 30 g per 100 ml water were tested against first and fourth instar larvae of greater wax moth, Galleria mellonella L. under ordinary laboratory conditions during July-August, 1988. Certan at the rate of 1 ml per 100 ml water, B-401 at the rate of 1 ml per 100 ml water and Dipel at the rate of 30 mg per 100 ml water, respectively gave 73.3, 70.0 and 68.3 percent mortality of the first instar larvae and 43.33, 50.00 and 33.33 percent of the fourth instar larvae. The parasite, Apanteles galleriae Wlk. gave only 36.8 percent parasitism of this pest.
