Effect of NPK fertilization on protein composition and amine-N contents in leaves parsley [1994]

Results of the study proved that dominated in the parsley leaves appeared to be glutamine acid, aspartic acid and proline, while methionine and cysteine were found only in a trace amounts. In the later growth stages there was observed a tendency for the increase of essential amino acid amounts and EAA index value. The contents of amino acids was not influenced by N rate, while the application of P and K was preferable for these constituents. The increasing doses of N as well as P up to 100 mg/cu. dm and K to 55 mg/cu. dm resulted in higher amine-N contents in parsley leaves
