The leaf oil of Apium graveolens L. was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Twenty-eight compounds representing ca. 94% of the oil were identified. Limonene (18.3%), beta-caryophyllene (13.5%) and 3-butyl-4,5-dihydrophthalide (32.1%) were the major constituents
