The National Agricultural Library is one of four national libraries of the United States, with locations in Beltsville, Maryland and Washington, D.C. It houses one of the world's largest and most accessible agricultural information collections and serves as the nexus for a national network of state land-grant and U.S. Department of Agriculture field libraries. The author presents her view of the quality of nutrition education of physicians, concentrating on the education of students in medical school. She reports on the status of nutrition education in the medical school curriculum at the Medical College of Georgia, in the Southeastern Medical Nutrition Education Network and on the national scene. The future goals of nutrition education for physicians is also discussed.
