A procedure is developed for the determination of apigenin-7-0-beta-glucoside and its mono- and diacetylated derivatives in chamomile flowers by HPLC method. The procedure developed is characterized by a high reproducibility. Contents of apigenin and its glucosides were determined in chamomile samples of different origins. It was found that ligulate florets contain much more flavonoids in comparison to the tubular ones. The contents of apigenin-7-0-beta-glucoside and its mono- and diacetates in diploid and tetraploid chamomile are almost two times higher than in the authentic chamomile samples grown on salt-marsh soils of Vojvodina (Yugoslavia)
