Bovine tuberculosis is a zoonosis caused by Mycobacterium bovis which belongs to Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex. The genome size of Mycobacterium bovis is a little smaller than that of M. tuberculosis, and the genome sequence of M. bovis is around 99% homology with that of M. tuberculosis. Bovine tuberculosis has been broken out worldwide even though some developed countries have succeeded to remove the cows infected with M. bovis in the countries. In Korea, bovine tuberculosis was reported in 1913 at first.
