The Centre was started in 1978 with the help of FAO and ODA to document unpublished information on Kenyan agriculture and make it easily available to various users  in the agricultural sector. Currently ADOC is a unit of Agricultural Information Resource Centre (AIRC) charged with acquisition, processing, storage and dissemination of agricultural and related information to information users.  

Offers a broad review of the condition of education in Africa in an attempt to provide information and insight in answering questions of stagnation and decline of economic and social development that are afflicting most African countries. Aspidiotus sp. (Fried Egg Scale) was first reported as a pest of coffee in Kenya in 1977 and occurred in Kiambu district at an altitude of 1890 metres above sea-level.
