Survey of sunflower diseases under Central Luzon State University [Philippines] conditions

Benchmark disease survey on sunflower was done for two successive cropping seasons during the year 1976-1977. Indication of the diseases and disorders were finally done in the laboratory through a series of isolation and inoculation procedures. Twelve abnormalities were observed, eleven due to fungus, bacteria and virus and one due to micronutrient deficiency. Among the diseases confirmed, leaf spot and leaf blight were the most widely spread and were found to infect all the plants.
