Field trials over three years determined the most practical and cost effective means of using brodifacoum to control rats damaging oil palm fruit in Malaysia. Brodifacoum (4g, 30 ppm blocks) applied at seven to ten day intervals (pulsed baiting) for the same total period of time as warfarin (15g, 500 ppm cubes) applied at three to includes the reduction of weeding frequency to stimulate build-up of natural enemies such as wasps and bugs, and the treatment of T. Asigna pupation sites with C. militaris to infect the pupae, would prevent severe outbreak
