[Identification and localization of some mucines in the colon of the rabbit]

إنجليزي. As previously reported, four segments can be distinguished in the colon of rabbit, indicated respectively as colon 1, colon 2, colon 3 and colon 4. For each of these segments, acidic and neutral mucopolysaccharides were identified by using the following methods: (a) the PAS reaction for the neutral mucopolysaccharides, and (b) the Alcian blue (pH = 1.0 and 2.5) and the Fucsine paraldehyde staining for the acidic mucopolysaccharides and sulphates. The results show that neutral mucopolysaccharides appear to be uniformly distributed along the segments 2, 3 and 4 of the colon, where they are mainly located on the base of the glands, whereas in the colon 1 only single cells are positive. Less uniform appears the distribution of the acidic mucopolysaccharides which are almost absent in portions 1 and 2, abundant in portion 3 and even more in portion 4.

إيطالي. Come descritto in precedenti ricerche, nel colon di coniglio si possono distinguere quattro tratti indicati rispettivamente come colon 1, colon 2, colon e e colon 4. Per ognuno di questi tratti si e proceduto alla identificazione dei mucopolisaccaridi acidi e neutri utilizzando il metodo della PAS reazione per i mucopolisaccaridi neutri, della colorazione con Alcian blu a pH 1 e pH 2,5 e della colorazione con Fuxina paraldeide per i mucopolisaccaridi acidi e solfati. I risultati ottenuti mostrano come la distribuzione dei mucopolisaccaridi neutri risulti piu uniforme nei vari tratti del colon perche interessa prevalentemente la parte basale delle ghiandole. Fa eccezione il colon 1, nel quale risultano positive soltanto singole cellule. Meno omogenea e invece le distribuzione dei mucopolisaccaridi acidi, che risultano scarsi nel colon 1 e nel colon 2 e diventano abbondanti nel colon 3 e ancor piu nel colon 4.
