Strains of TYLCV and TMV infecting tomatoes in Cyprus were identified on the basis of symptom expression or using genotypes possessing specific resistance genes. Two TYLCV strains caused 50 to 82% yield loss. Fifty tomato cultivars were tested in the greenhouse for resistance to TYLCV and TMV
