Production function of tomato crop field study in Karkosh country (in Iraq)
1985
Nesan, A.A.
The main objective of this study is to examine the current production of tomato crop in Iraq and Nineveh governorate in general and in Karkosh in particular. An important result of this study was that production and area of tomato in Iraq was comparatively low in the beginning of 1964, but after this period the production gradually increased, and again decreased. This depended on price policy and marketing. Three Cobb-Douglas production functions were fitted for each of these studies less than Donoum, less than Donoumain, (2-5-6) Donoum. The dependent variable was the labor and capital. The researcher conducted statistical analysis for testing the significance of the estimated coefficient of the mentioned function. The estimated coefficients were found to be significant for both labor and capital of the three Cobb-Douglas production functions
