In lambs of Polish low-land breed fetal haemoglobin (Hb F) is substituted by mature one (Hb B) between 30 and 57 days of life. Lambs with AB-type haemoglobin possess greater number of erythrocytes and higher haemoglobin content than those with Hb B. During the first month of life erythrocyte and leukocyte counts are low, but after 30 days their number increases gradually
