At 40-90 DAE, one larva/10 plants showed significant reduction in the number of squares and bolls produced/plant. At 120 DAE, plants infested with one bollworm did not vary significantly over that of the uninfested plants in terms of boll count. Weight per boll was not affected significantly by the larval infestation, but relatively heavier bolls were obtained with increased number of larvae/10 plants. Plant height was significantly affected by the increased number of larvae/cage. Reduction in size of the plants was mainly due to the feeding larvae on the terminal shoots
