This is an investigation on the control and resistance of red pepper fruit rot. Although the degree of resistance of ten red pepper cultivars to fruit rot in the field did not correspond with that of their seedlings in the greenhouse, Gimjang-gochu and Sae-gochu were highly resistant, Tex, Munbong, Junggongcho and Saerona were moderately resistant under field condition, whereas Jeju, Junggongsan, Cheonan-jaerae and Taegug were susceptible. Maneb, Dikar, Euparen and Kocide among ten fungicides were effective for the control of the disease in a pot test. Application of the fungicide just prior to the rainfall was more effective than that after the rainfall. Both applications at the same time with foliar spraying and soil drenching were more effective than any single application
