A socio-economic survey of the Kalaka - Saribas districts, Sarawak (A base line study)

The survey undertaken by a research team from Universiti Pertanian Malaysia at the State Government of Sarawak's request. The primary objectives include, (1) to obtain information on the socio-economic characteristics of farm families in the area, (2) to examine the present status of agriculture including cultivation practices, use of farm inputs, yields and production and (3) to examine the availability of socio-infrastructures in the villages/loghouses surveyed. Data collected would aid the Sarawak Government to make policy decisions in formulating the appropriate package of development programmes for the districts
