[The manner of inheriting the grain yield and some yield components in crossing various inbred sunflower lines]
1984
Marinkovic, R.
Genetic analysis of F1 generation of crossed inbred sunflower lines was performed. Among others, the following was concluded:For the head diameter, intermediary inheritance manner showed in 1 hybrid combination and dominance in 7. Concerning the number of flowers per head, heterosis showed in 9 hybrid combinations and dominance in 10. Genes with additive effects have a predominant role in inheriting the number of flowers per head. If inheriting the number of grains per head in F1, dominance showed only in 1 combination and heterosis in the other 10. The highest general combining capabilities value for the number of grains per head had the inbred line D-34-2-10. In F1, the pollination percentage was intermediary, partially dominant and heterotic. Heterosis showed in 19.0% hybrid combinations. Genes with additive effect had a more important role in inheriting the pollination percentage. In inheriting the mass of 1,000 grains in F1, dominance and superdominance was shown. In 33.33% combinations a high heterosis effect showed, in comparison with the better parent. In the manner of inheriting the hectolitre weight in F1, dominance of the better parent was shown, but also that of the weaker parent and heterosis. In the manner of inheriting the nucleus content in F1 grain, intermediary, heterosis and dominance were shown. In inheriting the oil content in F1 grain, dominance of the parent having a higher oil content was shown. In inheriting the number of grains per plant, non-additive influence of genes had a more important role.
