Assessment and adaptability of 10 small - seeded lentil varieties

Assessment of 10 small-seeded lentil varieties in seven locations for three years, indicated that the behavour of the varieties was changing from location to location and from year to year. By the means of linear regression analysis the experiment showed that W-39 bred at F.C.P.I. is the high yielding under favourable environmental conditions while the varieties M-10783, M-11063, M-11068 and M-12463 must be characterized as varieties of general adaptability. The analysis, also, revealed different adaptability patterns, relating to the origin of the varieties, that is poor for African varieties for all the environments and general for the Europeans
