Treatment of textile mill effluent using rice husk filter media

The performance of a 20-litre laboratory scale anaerobic biological filter that utilized burnt rice husk as the filter medium was investigated. Results showed that the system proved to be successful in reducing the BOD and COD, and as well as solids level well above 60% of the influent loads
