Findings showed that ovariohepterectomy significantly influenced the gains in height of piglets spayed at one month and two months old. Ovaiohepterectomy also significantly influenced feed conversion ratios. This experiment further proved that ovariohepterectomy as described and adopted by the researchers was safe to the piglets since there was a 100% survival rate. In this study, the surgical wound was completely healed in eleven days. Comparing ovariohepterectomy with castration in barrows, the same average number of days to complete healing of the wounds was noted. To perform the operation on 100 pigs, the total length of time was 1800 minutes or an average of 18 minutes per animal
