Use of sows and the reasons of sorting them out in specialized stock farms

It was stated that the number of sows in the herd in individual specialized stock farms influenced on the fecundity, fertility, lactation and body mass of young pigs. The lowest percentage was in the herds comprising 10 or less sows. The main reason of culling the sows was sterility or low fecundity
