Effect of various doses of mercury on its distribution in the animal organism

Mercury radioisotope was administered orally in various doses to rats and its distribution in their organs and tissues was determined. The highest concentration of the isotope was demonstrated in the kidneys, liver and spleen, and the lowest one in the skeletal muscles and brain. No relationship was found between the dose administered and mercury distribution in the organism
