Effects of the storage of stick lac to the quality of lac seed

Stick lac from Samanea saman were kept at room temperature and in air conditioned room with the temperature of 10-12 deg C. for 12 months . At the end of each month, stick lac were developed into seed lac and were graded by the determination of hot alcohol insoluble-impurity, ash, water soluble matters, moisture, bleach ability and life. In conclusion, seed lac proceeding from stick lac kept at room temperature will degrade gradually after 9 months. Stick lac kept at low temperature can be kept longer, but obtained higher moisture content
