In this paper was investigated the protection value of vaccine on mice, in relation to standard vaccine (B.B. 01/77) which offered a high protection against the rhinitis atrophic in the previous "pilot" study on pigs. Three experiments were made - A, B and C. The following vaccines were investigated: B.B. 02/77, B.B. 03/77, B.B. 04/78, B.B. 06/78, B.B. 07/78. The results of investigation of vaccines for mice proved that differences among the average effective doses (ED50) of standard vaccine and 6 series of Bordetella branchiseptica vaccine were not statistically important. The upper and the lower limit of confidence for 1 standard deviation (1 SD) was not more than 140% and less than 72%. Those limits for 2 standard deviation were not either above 200 % nor below 50%. The present relations proved that results of active protection test on mice for B. bronchiseptica vaccine were within the statistically permitted limits.
