In the study the agroecological investigations of the natural and field domiciles of ass. Arrhenatheretum elatioris in the area of Krizevci in SR Croatia (Yugoslavia) are described. In the area there is Salvia pratensis in various percentages. The mechanic content of the soil is generally clay and the reaction is neutral or alcal. The quantity of humus varies, but it is greater than in the other Arrhenatheretum elatioris domiciles. The soil contains small quantities of physiologically active phosphorus and average quantities of potassium. In the botanical structure of the fields Salvia pratensis has from 0 to 30% and more, depending on the structure of the domicile and climate, mowing and agrotechnical measures. On the dry, less fertile soil as a rule, beside S. pratensis there appear other green plants, too. Fertilization, moisture and acidity help the low percentages of S. pratensis in the botanical structure. The amount of the average (2 years) gathered hay on the fertilized field was 38,9-57,0 dt/ha. These fields react well to P fertilizers. The flat domiciles of S. pratensis make adequate ploughing fields.
