Arizpe Covarrubias, O. | Gomez Munoz, V.M.
A model is constructed to evaluate each one of the steps of an aquaculture within the frame of the bank rates. Three applications are established: 1. Retrospective evaluation. 2. Budgeting a project. 3. Project acceptance. In the first application it is estimated individual maximum cost to invest, in order to do a new culture step without effect its rentability, for example: how much is necessary to pay the larvae to start the juvenile stage culture. In the next application of the model it is calculated the maximum cost to do each step and all the culture. In the final application the survival is used in each step in order to identify the critical ones of the culture rentability. Finally the validation of the model is shown with the brown shrimp, japanese oyster and rainbow trout aquacultures in Mexico
