A study on the coconut yield under the drought conditions in 1983 at the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Pilicode, Kerala revealed that the effect of drought on annual nut yield was seen only in the subsequent year under the good management conditions. The effect of drought on monthly nut yield was seen in the eighth month after the drought period was over and continued for twelve months (February 1984 to January 1985). The maximum reduction in monthly nut yield was noticed in the thirteenth month after the drought period was over
